Mainly responsible for statistical work including water project construction investment and comprehensive water affairs; supporting the management of the central government investment plans for water project construction, and compiling and publishing water statistical yearbooks, bulletins, etc.; building and maintaining water statistical management system, implementing water statistical monitoring and analysis, assisting in information releasing, and organizing statistical training and special research; organizing and conducting research on water investment and financing, market reform of water sector development, and management system and mechanism of water project construction; organizing and conducting research on the modernization of river basin governance capacity and governance system, assessment and evaluation of the most stringent water resources management system, and follow-up assessment and research on water project supervision policies, etc.
